Cornish Maine Boudoir Studio // 2024 Highlights Continued with Angi & Crystal
At the end of every year, I like to look back at all of my sessions throughout the year. Obviously, I can’t share all of my favorites but here are a couple that definitely stood out.
Angi reached out to me as part of her wedding gift to her soon-to-be husband, she wanted to do a bridal boudoir session. These are some of my favorites anyway, but hers was particularly fun.
She arrived at the studio with a carefully curated wardrobe, starting with a delicate light pink and white bra and panty set paired with her wedding veil. This set the tone for a dreamy fine art collection, and we leaned into dramatic lighting with a painterly backdrop. The veil added such a romantic touch.
We stepped away from the bridal theme just for a minute, so Angi could slip into some gem colored lingerie that really popped. Then she put on a corset that fit her like a glove, accentuating her natural curves and bringing a vintage elegance to her photos.
Crystal’s session was a celebration of self-love. She came to me seeking a confidence boost, and I could tell she was nervous. But we’d spent time beforehand planning her outfits, so she arrived prepared and ready to embrace the experience.
Her nerves melted away as soon as we started. Watching her find her rhythm during the shoot was a reminder of how empowering these sessions can be. Crystal brought a few unique pieces that reflected her style, and as an artist herself, we had endless conversations about creativity, inspiration, and the overlap of art and emotion.
By the end of her session, she was glowing with pride. She shared that she couldn’t wait to show her husband the final images, a testament to her newfound confidence.
Both Angi and Crystal reminded me why I love boudoir photography: it’s more than just pictures. It’s about empowerment, trust, and capturing moments of vulnerability that transform into strength. For Angi, it was about celebrating her upcoming wedding and the love she shares with her fiancé. For Crystal, it was about rediscovering her self-confidence and celebrating herself.
These sessions were deeply personal, and being trusted to document these moments is something I’ll never take for granted.
As I reflect on this past year, I feel so grateful for clients like these two incredible women, who remind me of the power of photography to uplift and empower.
