Cornish, Maine Boudoir Photographer // Amy // Classic Boudoir Photoshoot

I was so excited to hear from Amy to do a boudoir photoshoot. I worked with her a million years ago when I lived in the office world and hadn’t spoken to her in quite some time. That and she is just a stunning and hilarious woman, so I really wanted her pictures to reflect her perfectly. I absolutely loved getting caught up with her. Amy decided that she wanted to stick with mostly lingerie for her pictures. She, just like me, loves classic black, which pairs perfectly with my studio. Also simple works awesomely 100% of the time!

Amy arrived and we looked through her wardrobe choices. We choose to stick with some more revealing and some more modest pieces. We started with a simple white, button down shirt. We laughed and talked about what was going on in life with both of us now.

I think its really important to talk about why Amy was doing her session. Everyone has their own reasons, but Amy was doing it for 100% the right reason. She was doing it for herself. Like many of my clients, she is a mom. She wanted to turn off the mom button for a moment and remember the woman that she is. She also wanted to use this photo session to feel more feminine and empowered. These are the reasons that women should want to do a boudoir session. Even though a lot of my clients do their photoshoots for a significant other, which is fine, but at the end of the day, you have to do these sessions for yourself. Louder for those of those in the back, boudoir sessions are for you primarily and for someone else as a bonus!

With Valentines Day coming up I can’t wait to meet some more of my boudoir clients!
