Cornish MAINE Boudoir Photographer // Fun fact: I Don't Have Any Pictures From Before My Wedding

As a photographer, I have always believed that photographs are the best way to preserve memories. They capture moments that are gone forever, and they make it possible to relive those moments again and again. However, I have also seen firsthand how devastating it can be when those memories are lost.

Here’s my heartbreaking story. I do not have any pictures from before my wedding day, and it makes me incredibly sad. I had digital copies (on an old iPhone before everything was backed up to the cloud) and USBs of all my old pictures, but I had lost my phone and all of my old USB’s failed and were no longer available. I realized that those pictures were the only ones I had of me and my husband together before we got married.

Since my wedding day, I have made it a point to print everything and put them in albums to ensure that they are around. I have invested in photo shoots for myself and her family, including a boudoir session for myself. Last year, I spent $3500 between these photo shoots and the gallery-quality albums that I made from each session.

I am determined to capture every moment from now on. It reminds me that time goes by too quickly, and if we don't take the time to capture these moments, they will be lost forever. As a photographer, it is my job to help people capture these moments and preserve them for a lifetime.

I encourage everyone to follow in my footsteps and invest in capturing the memories that matter most. Print your photos, put them in albums, and make sure they are safe. Don't rely solely on digital copies or USBs, as they can fail and be lost forever. Invest in professional photography sessions for yourself and your family, and create gallery-quality albums to showcase your memories.

In the end, it's not about the number of photos you have, but about the memories they capture. And those memories are priceless.
