Cornish Maine Boudoir Photographer // What To Expect: From The First Click Of Sending Your Inquiry Email To Product Delivery
As a boudoir photographer, my goal is to create a comfortable, luxurious and empowering experience for my clients. The process begins with an email inquiry, followed by a phone consultation where we discuss the details of the session. I like to make sure that we vibe before booking sessions. My first priority is to make sure that everyone that enters my studio is 100% comfortable! After we've ironed out the details (and, obviously, become friends!), a contract is signed and a retainer is paid to secure the session.
Styling is something that most people struggle with. I mean, you don’t just hang out in lingerie, so it would make sense that you have questions! We will discuss different options. What fits your personality? Super casual t-shirt and fish nets or fancy lingerie? Either of these work for boudoir, it just depends upon what is going to make you feel super sexy at your session. We will also talk about whether you would like to have your hair and makeup done professionally or do it yourself. Some woman want the whole pampering experience, where others love to be natural. Once again, both work and staying true to your personal style is best!
On the day of the shoot, the client arrives and we sit down to chat and enjoy a cup of coffee and discuss the flow of their session. I make sure that I use either the examples that they have given me for inspiration or take their outfit choices into consideration when planning out their session. During the shoot, I guide the client through all the poses, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.
After the shoot, we set up a time for the reveal appointment, where they will see the finished pictures for the first time and begin the album design process. I design the album with the pictures that they love the most. I design a proof to be approved by them and then its sent to the lab to print before it's sent directly to them.
Throughout the entire process, my goal is to create a positive, luxurious and empowering experience for my clients. As they pack up from their session, we high five, because boudoir sessions are no joke! You worked hard! I always ensure they feel confident and beautiful every step of the way.
