Cornish, Maine Boudoir Photographer // So Your Mom Thinks That You're A Pornstar Now

I totally get this. My mom doesn’t understand why women want to do boudoir and labels it something a little less than desirable, porn. Boudoir photography and porn are two types of photography that are often mistaken for each other. While both types of photography may involve nudity, there are significant differences between the two. Let me explain the differences between boudoir photography and porn.

Boudoir photography is a type of photography that captures intimate, sensual, and romantic images of a person, usually a woman. The goal of boudoir photography is to make the person feel beautiful, confident, and empowered. Boudoir photography sessions are done in my private studio. I work closely with my client to create a relaxed and comfortable environment, and the images are often used as a gift for a partner or as a way to celebrate oneself.

On the other hand, porn is a type of photography that is focused on sexual acts and gratification. The goal of porn is to arouse the viewer sexually. Pornography is often produced for commercial purposes, and the actors are usually paid to perform sexual acts on camera. Pornography is widely available online, in magazines, and in other forms of media.

One of the main differences between boudoir photography and porn is the purpose of the images. Boudoir photography is about celebrating the beauty of the person and creating images that make them feel confident and empowered. Pornography, on the other hand, is about sexual gratification and arousal.

Another difference between the two is the level of explicitness. Boudoir photography may involve nudity, but the images are usually tasteful and elegant. The images focus on the person's beauty and sensuality, rather than explicit sexual acts. Pornography, on the other hand, is often explicit and graphic, with a focus on sexual acts.

Finally, there is a difference in the way the images are presented. Boudoir photography is presented in a tasteful and artistic way, with an emphasis on the person's beauty and sensuality. Pornography, on the other hand, is often presented in a crass and vulgar way, with an emphasis on sexual acts and gratification.

While boudoir photography and porn may share some similarities, there are significant differences between the two. Boudoir photography is about celebrating the beauty and sensuality of a person, while pornography is about sexual gratification and arousal. It is important to understand these differences and to respect the boundaries of the people involved in both types of photography. But most importantly, my boudoir session are not porn! Sorry mom!
