Cornish, Maine Boudoir Photographer // My Favorite Classic Boudoir Pictures // Dark & Moody Boudoir Photo Shoot
After opening my own studio just 4 months ago, I can definitely say that I hit the ground running with these photo sessions. I did model calls and also had a handful of regular clients to photograph to find where I really loved the light in my new space. I just wanted to share some of my favorite images…. so far.
I have a tendency to be drawn to black and white images. I always have been. As I look around my house, I have almost exclusively black & white images up on my walls. They always appear more dramatic and bold to me. That’s just one of the many reasons why I love this image. It’s just the right amount of drama. Too me, it’s pretty damn perfect.
Next up, is the pose that every woman always loves and, honestly, so do I. It’s really super flattering to every single body type. The couch is also perfectly placed for me to shoot into the shadows, which is something that I absolutely love to do. Add Amy to that equation, who is gorgeous, obviously that makes perfection!
Next up is a twist on a “standard boudoir pose”. Instead of shooting this one straight on, I repositioned myself to short light Traci. Once again, I shoot into the shadows to make this an amazing shot.
Lastly, I had done a model call to try some new lighting techniques. Katy was happy to go along with whatever I had envisioned. I wanted to make this mage super low key and have a bit of mystery to it. I think that I was able to accomplish this during the shoot and has turned out to be my favorite series of images that I have taken so far.
As I grow, I will continue to do these posts to watch my progress. I always want to be growing and getting better regardless of what genre I am shooting!
