Cornish, Maine Boudoir Photographer // Why I Love To Use Both Natural & Artificial Light For My Boudoir Sessions
As a boudoir photographer, I have found that using natural light for lifestyle sets can produce some of the most amazing and stunning results. The way natural light falls on the body can create beautiful shadows and highlights, and can really bring out the natural beauty of the subject. There is something about the way sunlight pours through my studio windows or filters through the trees that gives a certain softness to the images that can't be replicated with artificial lighting.
However, while natural light is amazing for lifestyle sets, I also use artificial lighting for studio setups. The controlled environment of a studio allows me to manipulate the light in a way that is not possible with natural light alone. I can create dramatic shadows and highlights, and really play with the mood of the images.
Both natural and artificial lighting have their own unique strengths, and it's important to know when to use each. While natural light can be great for a soft and more natural look, artificial lighting can add a level of drama and intensity that can really make a photo stand out.
In the end, it's all about knowing how to use light to create the desired effect. As a photographer, it's my job to understand the nuances of different lighting situations and to use them to my advantage. Whether it's natural light or artificial lighting, both have the ability to create beautiful and dramatic images that can truly capture the essence of my subject.
