As a boudoir photographer, my journey over the past seven years has been one of self-discovery and growth. Initially, I believed that the essence of my work lied solely in capturing stunning images. However, as time went by, I realized that there is so much more to studio photography than meets the eye. From the moment a client reaches out to me, I am committed to guiding them through the entire process. I understand that boudoir photography can be an intimate and vulnerable experience, so I make it a point to hold my clients' hand every step of the way. This involves phone consultations, wardrobe advice, and numerous emails exchanged. Some may argue that it's excessive communication, but I firmly believe that setting expectations and establishing a rapport builds trust and ensures a positive experience.
To elevate the experience further, I offer hair and makeup services for my sessions. This not only enhances the overall look but also adds a touch of pampering and confidence-building for my clients. Before we even start shooting, I conduct a walk-through session, allowing my clients to familiarize themselves with the studio and the process. This helps alleviate any nerves and ensures that they feel comfortable and empowered throughout the session.
In my journey of growth, I have come to realize that the reveal appointment is almost as significant as the actual session itself. Gone are the days of simply sending galleries to my clients. Instead, I believe in providing a personalized experience during the reveal appointment. Together, we review the images, and my clients have the opportunity to select their desired package.
