Cornish Maine Boudoir Photographer // My New wet Set Is Ready To Goooooooo!
I can not contain my excitement for my new addition to my studio. I’m constantly redesigning my studio to make to feel fresh and new for every client that walks through my doors, but this goes way above and beyond fresh and new.
The idea of a wet set, with its faux shower setup, had been simmering in my mind for ages. Finally, I decided to take the plunge. The setup itself is deceptively simple: a black backdrop and a plexiglass wall on wheels. It might sound basic, but the possibilities it offers for creativity and expression are endless.
Before inviting paying clients to experience the magic of my new wet set, I knew I had to put it through its paces. I tested idifferent lighting scenarios on a fake cake I had hanging around the studio until I found a few setups that I liked enough to try on a person. That's where my model came into play. Clad in a simple white t-shirt, she stepped into the studio, ready to test this shot out!
Spritzing the glass and her with water, I played with the different lighting techniques, each one casting a different hue and mood onto the scene. It was fun to see how the different lighting gave the set dimension.
As the session progressed, it became clear that my new wet set wasn't just a backdrop; it was something that would be a truly unique part of my studio.
Finally having my wet set up and running was amazing! It wasn't just about creating beautiful images; it was about creating an experience, a safe space where my clients could shed their inhibitions and embrace their true selves.
In the end, that's what boudoir photography is all about – not just capturing bodies, but capturing art. And with my new wet set, I'm ready to dive deeper than ever before into the art of intimacy and self-love.
